Joy Peterson is no stranger to following her dreams. She began her career in radio broadcasting in 1992, following her dreams of being a DJ. After 13 loyal years at one radio station, it closed down, marking a time of major transitions in her life. Navigating these changes gave Joy a renewed sense of purpose and resilience. In the following years, she worked diligently to rebuild her life and career, giving her a new outlook on financial security and what that meant. Joy met Don when he was looking for a co-host for his radio show, and a business relationship blossomed.

From an early age, Don Wales learned the value of a strong work ethic. He began working at eleven years old after his father passed away, and he had to contribute to his household. Beginning in college, Don began a career at a national tax firm, first part-time, and eventually working his way up to Director of marketing. After years in this business, Don realized that the only way to help people live up to their full potential in retirement was to launch his independent practice, where he could provide more options that fit people’s individual needs.
